It was great to be part of the beach clean at Sandeel Bay last Sunday. Such a beautiful place to visit and with people coming to visit the sight will be far more enjoyable as a result of all the hard work everyone put in.

Portpatrick is located in the South West corner of Scotland in the region of Dumfries and Galloway. It sits on the far west coast of the Rhins of Galloway peninsula in the traditional county of Wigtownshire.
Travelling by road from the North take the A77 (Stranraer) from Glasgow. From the South take the A75 (Stranraer) from Dumfries.
A regular train service runs from Glasgow or Ayr to Stranraer and a regular bus service runs between Stranraer and Portpatrick. The nearest airports are
Glasgow Prestwick Airport (1 hour 40 minutes) or
Glasgow International (2 hours 15 minutes)
